DRIVER’S LICENSE in Michigan

All motorists must have a valid driver’s license to drive on Michigan’s public roads. The Department of State offers a standard, chauffeur, commercial driver and enhanced license, which one you choose will depend on your driving needs.

Your driver’s license is issued for up to four years and expires on your birthday. For more information about obtaining, renewing, replacing or correcting a license, select a topic from the menu.
