Koby Learning Group (KLG) provides adult and child learning opportunities for the international and local families of Greater Detroit Area.
Starting with comprehensive ESL classes, KLG has since expanded to include other world language classes including Japanese, German, Korean, and more. School support classes for children from preschool to high school are available, including science, math and bilingual education.
KLG is a major testing site for TOEIC, offering a convenient mid-west testing facility in the USA. Also, we offer tutoring for TOEFL, TOEIC, SAT, and many more programs to help you prepare for different exams.
Within the same facility, we have expatriate family support, translation and interpretation services. We are an official Yamato Transport package drop-off location. Other services include room rental and babysitting options.

History of Koby
Yoshihisa Kobayashi founded the first Koby learning facility in 1990. Over the years, the focus grew and changed, from an academic Japanese school to an English as a Second Language school. Upon the passing of Mr. Kobayashi in 2016, the school was re-established by Christina Pierce as Koby Learning Group (KLG). Following the goals and ambitions originally envisioned by Mr. Kobayashi, KLG continues to expand into a major central learning and support facility for the local international community.
